Type is five years old and .....I am a little older, but also celebrating a birthday this autumn month of October. In the area of New Media......I am in the midst of navigating a new MacBook Pro .....and having left the PC world in the dust, I call it my own personal "brain gym". What I am finding is the ease of use the Apple provides and the dumbing down effect it has had on my daily work life. If I can't figure something out...I try to do it as simply as I could think and it most always works.
As a previous Palm,Outlook, PC lover....I completely converted my life to Apple iLife and Apple's contact and mail manager. The Apple folks converted my entire address book, hard drive, photos, mail messages, ....anything I wanted to my new MacBook Pro. The staff at my local Apple store just kept repeating....."We just want you to be completely satisfied and set up so you can work as efficiently as possible". This attention and set-up in the past cost me upwards of $75 an hour for my previous Lenovo ThinkPad purchase.
So, I am an evangelist of sorts....for Apple. My next hopeful move....a iTouch to handle my calendar more efficiently in a handheld device.
