I currently have 48, 120 minute 8MM tapes (do the math) of my children starting from the time my 15 year old popped out of the womb to .......3 years ago when my 3rd Sony Camcorder died ending right around Christmas morning as the 13, 11 and 7 year old bouned down the stairs. Those tapes are rarely pulled out to be played.....they sit in a plastic bin, protected from the elements of our 1928 basement.......rarely to be seen.
I'm sorry, it was all about the wires and the battery. "Where is the wire to hook this up to the TV to see it?". The battery is dead? I thought you charged it?? "How do we get these tapes to VCR? To DVD?"
Once you got the thing turned on, patted yourself on the back that you had a full battery AND available tape.....you taped for hours.....
On and on.....your child moving from this position to that position, every morsel of cake eaten, every present opened. It took you so long to get to this point, you felt compelled to create all this video .....
Now...Welcome the Flip. No wires, no battery....charge it like an Ipod. It takes "moments" of your life. Makes them available to download easily to You Tube and Facebook. You can be somewhere, take a 28 second shot and let 150 people be there for a minute with you with little effort.
No Wires.......I'm sorry, it's all about the wires.
Thanks for reading.
